New Web Site Offers Hope (and Decrypters) to Ransomware Victims

A new Web site called ID Ransomware has been launched to help ransomware victims identify the types of malicious files that they have been infected by and to determine if file recovery is possible without paying the fee. The site was put together by security researcher Michael Gillespie. Once users upload information, the ID Ransomware site determines which ransomware was used and if available, a decrypter is sent to the victim.
