Announcing the 2016 Landy Awards sponsors and supporting partners…
After the smashing success of our inaugural search marketing awards program in 2015, we are excited to announce several early supporters in the second annual Landy Awards presented by Search Engine Land.
Their participation means they’ll be helping us Celebrate the Power of Search in a very big way at this year’s Awards Ceremony and Gala happening during our annual SMX East conference in New York City. This year, we’ll be hosting a glamorous evening affair at the elegant Edison Ballroom in New York City on September 28th.
We’re looking forward to celebrating the success of search marketers across the industry, and we invite you to join us for one epic evening, whether you enter the awards or not! It’s all for a good cause, since a portion of proceeds from the awards program will result in a minimum $5000 donation to charity.
But entries do close June 30th, so enter now for your chance to be recognized. This the time to celebrate all of your professional achievements and that of your peers in search.
There are still opportunities to get involved as a sponsor* for the 2016 Landy Awards program and gala. Please see this page for more details.

Welcome New Partners & Special Guest Judges
Clutch is a B2B research firm in the heart of Washington, DC, Clutch connects small and medium-sized businesses with the agencies and software solutions that can help them accomplish their business goals.
Clutch will be adapting components of their exhaustive research methodology (summarized below) to help vet and judge the applicants in the Agency of the Year competition.
We consider both quantitative and qualitative criteria when evaluating SEO agencies. We interview past clients to learn how the companies approach challenges, develop strategies, and execute customized projects. We also look at the companies’ SEO skillsets, footprint in the industry, and prior clients.
Then, the Leaders Matrix shows how these agencies perform in relation to each other. It differentiates companies as market leaders — firms that focus on organic SEO exclusively — and proven companies — firms that offer other digital marketing services along with SEO.
OMCP (Online Marketing Certified Professionals) has also joined us as a new promotional partner. OMCP is a professional certification that recognizes training from a growing, vetted list of the online marketing industry’s best known educational institutions, and participation in the industry’s top events in a variety of capacities.
Director Michael Stebbins will also be participating as a judge in the individual Search Marketer of the Year and Agency of the Year categories.
In addition, local and regional marketing associations SEMPDX, SLCSEM, SEMNE and MNSearch are returning as partners and are again participating in the judging for the “Pay It Forward” award for search marketing efforts on behalf of a non-profit or charitable organization.
The final guest judge lineup will be announced soon. Stay tuned for updates.
*Note: Sponsoring the awards does not affect the outcome of the independent, editorially driven judging process.
