New pcre packages are available for Slackware 14.1 and -current to

fix security issues.

Here are the details from the Slackware 14.1 ChangeLog:

This release fixes bugs (including a couple of DoS security issues), and

retrofits to PCRE1 some appropriate JIT improvements from PCRE2.
