to install XnConvert 1.73  on Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr (LTS) and Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands: 

For ubuntu 32 bit :

wget http://download.xnview.com/XnConvert-linux.deb

sudo dpkg -i XnConvert-linux.deb

For Ubuntu 64 bit :

wget http://download.xnview.com/XnConvert-linux-x64.deb

sudo dpkg -i XnConvert-linux-x64.deb
