PhotoFiltre LX 1.0 Beta is Available Now, A clone of PhotoFiltre for Linux Mint 18 and Ubuntu 16.04 systems


PhotoFiltre LX is an attempt to produce a clone of PhotoFiltre the popular Windows graphics editor for Linux. PhotoFiltre LX is developed with C++, Gtkmm and uses Imagemagick to support its many features.

  • Cursors scale to the size of the brush/tool.
  • Clone Stamp Tool.
  • Blur Tool.
  • Set Zoom level with menus options.
  • Fullscreen Mode.

Install PhotoFiltre LX 1.0 Beta on Linux Mint 18 / Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (64bit) :

To install PhotoFiltre LX 1.0 Beta on Linux Mint 18 and Ubuntu 16.04 Derivative systems,  open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:
wget https://launchpad.net/photofiltre-lx/trunk/studio-1.0/+download/PhotoFiltreLX-STU_1.0_Beta.deb
sudo chmod +x PhotoFiltreLX-STU_1.0_Beta.deb
sudo dpkg -i --force-depends PhotoFiltreLX-STU_1.0_Beta.deb
sudo apt-get -f install
