On 1 November 2016, the European Copyright Society (ECS) published an Opinion representing the independent views of the majority of ECS members regarding the case E-05/16, pending before the EFTA Court. The case involves approximately 90 applications for trademark registration of the works of the Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland, which fell into the public domain in 2014. UCL's Institute of Brand and Innovation Law is looking for a Research and Administrative Assistant. This is a one year, part-time position, beginning on 1 January 2017. IP Publishers’ and Editors’ Lunch 2016. This annual event, organised by the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice (JIPLP), welcomes anyone involved in IP publishing, whether an author, blogger, editor, editorial board member or publisher. The keynote speech will be delivered by Jaani Riordan, who will discuss the legal implications for publisher of the GS Media case.
