HPV: Almost Half of Adult Men in US Have This Cancer-Causing STD
Despite the availability of a vaccine against it, almost 50% of men aged 18-59 in the US are infected with the human papillomavirus (HPV). Why? A new study published in JAMA Oncology by at a team of researchers at the Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) in Fort Bragg discusses the high infection rates of adult men, after analyzing data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
