The Adafruit Blog, now syndicating with JSON Feed

If you have a compatible feed reader, you can now receive Adafruit Blog updates in JSON Feed format by pointing your feed reader at: http://ift.tt/2rS8VJJ

Why JSON Feed? According to the developers of the spec:

We … have noticed that JSON has become the developers’ choice for APIs, and that developers will often go out of their way to avoid XML. JSON is simpler to read and write, and it’s less prone to bugs.

So we developed JSON Feed, a format similar to RSS and Atom but in JSON. It reflects the lessons learned from our years of work reading and publishing feeds.

Simpler ways to syndicate content mean a more free (as in freedom) web. We look forward to seeing how the JSON Feed spec evolves (as long as it doesn’t lead to another feed format war)!
