This Raspberry Pi Camera Captures Images Stretched By Time Itself #piday #raspberrypi @Raspberry_Pi

Maker Jon Bumstead claims to have created a camera based off of the Raspberry Pi that captures images and videos using time as one of its dimensions.
Inspired by artists Hiroshi Kondo and Adam Magyar, the resulting works incorporate parts of long exposure photography, light writing and slit-scan photography.
How this works is explained in the .gif below, where a standard picture of the Eiffel Tower is altered by the effects of time.
The physical unit Bumstead made uses a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with an 8 megapixel camera housed in a 3D printed case. Make sure you watch this video showing the camera off to see how the physical project captures its unique imagery.
