Toings and Froings: Kat Team Changes

It's that time of year again, when we announce a new litter of IPKat members.

Stephen Jones
Toings:
Mathilde Pavis

Stephen Jones joins as a GuestKat. Stephen has an IP pedigree to admire, including having been a partner at Baker & McKenzie and current VP of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA). Stephen brings his all-round IP expertise, with a focus on patents and trademarks, to the IPKat.

Mathilde Pavis also joins as GuestKat and will delighting us with her diverse perspective. Mathilde is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Exeter. Mathilde’s interests in IP focuses on comparative copyright, performers’ rights and trademarks, and more broadly on the interaction between IP law and cultural policies in the creative industries.
Cecilia Sbrolli

And our new Intern is Cecilia Sbrolli. Cecilia is an Italian IP enthusiast. Cecilia obtained an LL.M. in European, Competition and IP Law from the Université de Liège and a Master's Degree from the Università di Bologna.

Welcome new Kats!

Stephen, Mathilde and Intern will be joining our existing cadre of impurrressive GuestKats Rosie and Eiblhin, and InternKats Tian and Hayleigh. Verónica is taking on a new role as TechieKat, keeping the IPKat running smoothly.

Froings:

Alberto Bellan, David Brophy and Darren Smyth are retiring from their team. Darren was a member of the team for over five years and provided much rich patent and international content. David also brought patent expertise and insights from Ireland, and Alberto provided an Italian IP perspective. We are sad to see them go and wish them the best in their next ventures.
