Touch the Artwork, Actually. Paintings with Conductive Ink Play Music | #ArtTuesday @IamDetour303

Detour is a Denver, Colorado-based artist who installs electronics on the backside of his canvases, typically Bare Conductive touch boards, for interacting with the paintings when they are touched. The second video below shows some ‘behind the scenes’ installation shots and how the ink is put down prior to the painting – always great to see process shots like these! And the first video below shows one of the paintings being tested – if you know Biz Markie’s rap & music I must say he’s a perfect placeholder for what Detour is doing with his own art!
