A Lovable Ludo Costume

Taking on the task of crafting a Ludo costume is anything but small. The massive muppet character from Labyrinth has a sculpted face, horns, a giant body, and fur — these are the kind of components I consider when I think about replicating a character like this for cosplay purposes. The deWild Cosplay family didn’t shy from the project though and made Ludo for the NZ Sevens.

They started the build in November 2016 with sculpting the face and making a cardboard cutout for the base of Ludo’s body. They used foam to construct the head and body and patterned and labeled all of it so they could assemble it like a puzzle. You can see what I mean in a photo just below.
