An Iconic Icon Costume

Redditor Naa2078 went heroic for his first ever cosplay: he turned himself into Icon. The Milestone Comics character featured in stories published by DC Comics and was an alien with abilities including strength and invulnerability. Naa2078 shared some build notes for the costume on Reddit, staying he made the mask from something he already had on hand:

I had a cheap grey fabric mask that was languishing in my costume box. I cut it down to better look like Icon’s mask and then drew on it with a layer of black oil pastel and then a layer of olive green oil pastel.

He used gold duct tape to add the gold bands. That kind of resourcefulness was key since he made the costume in just a couple days.
