Dell EMC Unveils Desktop Virtualization Offerings (07/10/2017)
Dell EMC introduced new desktop virtualization solutions for helping more easily deploy, configure, and manage one's virtualized desktop infrastructure. These releases include the XC Xpress for VDI appliance; the Latitude 3480 mobile thin client; an updated version of the ThinOS operating system; and new Wyse Management Suite software. The offerings will be available during the course of this month.

Fujitsu Extends RunMyProcess (07/10/2017)
Fujitsu extended RunMyProcess, its digital PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) with new regional cloud-based platforms in North America. This update - which includes a capacity increase - offers a cloud-native platform for more quickly and securely building, testing, deploying, and scaling device-independent applications that connect digital business processes across cloud-based, on-premise, and mobile environments.

HPE, Microsoft Establish Global Go-To-Market Alliance (07/10/2017)
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Microsoft established a global go-to-market alliance through Cloud28+, an open community dedicated to increasing enterprise cloud-based adoption. As part of this agreement, Microsoft has joined the HPE-sponsored initiative as a "premier" Azure Stack technology partner. This membership will allow the companies to combine forces to provide partners with new business opportunities and tools that are powered by a hybrid IT ecosystem to accelerate business outcomes. HPE and Microsoft plan to create a joint Azure Stack ISV onboarding program that focuses on connecting software vendors to solution and service providers to improve market visibility.

IBM Introduces Services Platform with Watson (07/12/2017)
IBM announced a Watson-based services platform that is built on the IBM Cloud. The new IBM Services Platform with Watson is designed to augment human intelligence to improve service provider operations via cognitive technology. It provides AI (artificial intelligence) capabilities; human intelligence; and insight to help predict and identify potential problems and self-heal.

Microsoft Officially Rolls Out Azure Stack (07/10/2017)
Microsoft announced that the Azure Stack is now available to order. The Azure Stack offers an extension of Azure that is designed to bring the agility and speed of cloud-based computing to on-premise environments, in addition to enabling new hybrid cloud scenarios. The release also extends the Azure ecysostem to help reach larger, addressable markets through hybrid cloud-based scenarios.

SAP Debuts New IoT Software (07/11/2017)
SAP rolled out new IoT (Internet of Things) software for better taking advantage of advances in Big Data and analytics to offer connections to the SAP Cloud Platform. These releases include the Leonardo IoT Bridge, which offers a role-based digital command center for improving visibility; Global Track and Trace, for unified, end-to-end tracking, monitoring, and reporting of objects and business processes across supply chain networks; and Edge Services, for bringing compute, storage, and business semantics via the cloud. Other software includes Digital Manufacturing Insights, a centralized, cloud-based manufacturing performance-management solution; and SAP Asset Manager, a mobile app for managing asset health, inventory, maintenance, and safety.

Unisys Releases Digital Government Accelerators (07/13/2017)
Unisys released Digital Government Accelerators, a family of IT services and software that is designed to help government agencies streamline their transition toward providing digital services. Unisys' Digital Government Accelerators apply "best practices" and tools for digital transformation, covering "core" aspects of digital government: migrating data and applications to the cloud; providing a collaborative work environment; and improving the citizen "experience" for government services online and via mobile devices.
