Hi!

This is a customizable penholder/planter with a keyboard style. You can turn in a box using a cap also generated by the customizer.

You can write your own text, select how many lines do you want and choose between a squared or classic alignement of keys.

The customizer generates 2 figures: The vase and the cap so you can print penholders or planters and using the cap you’ll get a nice box.

See below some tips for the customizer.

I’ve included a bunch of STL’s related to the most common keyboard layouts: QWERTY (US and spanish), AZERTY, DVORAK, COLEMAK and MALTRON. Also the caps with the name of the layout are included.

Also i’ve included a funny one with the classic ‘now i have a machine gun ho ho ho’ 🙂

…and also the files for the small red-white box from pictures (smallstuf-cap.stl + pendrives-sdcards-vase.stl)

Be creative, make funny stuff!!

Have fun!

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!

The Adafruit Learning System has dozens of great tools to get you well on your way to creating incredible works of engineering, interactive art, and design with your 3D printer! If you’ve made a cool project that combines 3D printing and electronics, be sure to let us know, and we’ll feature it here!
