Doorbell linked to Slack with Raspberry Pi #piday #raspberrypi @Raspberry_Pi

We didn’t like walking down the stairs to check who was at the door, so we made a doorbell that is linked to our Slack. The doorbell takes a photo of the visitor and posts it to our Slack. From our desks or phone, we can respond to the slack message to open the gate. There is also a fingerprint reader on the doorbell that staff can use in order to let themselves in and out.
