The circuitry suggested stellar constellations in the night sky

NY-based artist Theo Kamecke is a former filmmaker turned furniture maker and sculptor who equates the traces in printed circuit boards “as simply a newly evolved form of nature” – like the rings of a tree or fossil impression left in rock. Laminate, epoxy, and copper traces are our now-artifacts. He has works that are flat, works that are dimensional, and even functional furniture – here are some samples from his website:

Cabinet: 26 H x 17 x 11 in. / 66 x 43 x 28 cm

Chest: 16 x 12 x 8 H in. / 41 x 30 x 20 H cm

24K gold circuitry. (Vintage circuitry from 1960`s)

And perhaps my favorite is this almost-ominous ‘SARCOPHAGUS FOR C3PO’:

80 x 51 x 48H in. / 203 x 130 x 122 H cm including base
