Various Solutions for Rigging Cameras to Balloons – from @PublicLab | #citizenscience

Stumbled upon this post over at Public Lab that shows various solutions for mounting various cameras to various balloons. There’s a lot of variables involved, obviously! If you plan on conducting some photo rigging citizen science you might want to reference their previous designs for inspiration — in addition Public Lab are rebooting their already-successful balloon mapping kit if you’re looking for a readymade solution and want to participate in this active community.

To take aerial photos, you need to attach your camera to a balloon, kite, pole, or whatever! Try the “standard” rubber band rig, the venerable soda bottle rig, or the juice jug rig.
