Adding a Headphone Port to the iPhone 7
Scotty Allen is back, and this time he managed to add a standard headphone jack (yes, the 3.5mm kind) to the iPhone 7, which supposedly didn’t come with a headphone jack for space-saving means. What Scotty achieves is amazing and his video is filled with lots of unique challenges and solutions, including prototyping multiple circuit boards, redesigning designs based on those prototypes, some surface-mount soldering, and visits to multiple markets and manufacturing facilities – awesome!
I love my iPhone, but it doesn’t have a headphone jack! So I decided to add my own. For real.
