I don’t work with ATTINY85 development boards often, but when I do I always make the mistake of killing the Zener diode between the USB power and ground (by shorting it). Mostly because when I use them on breadboards, I forget that the power pins are all in a row. Oops. This is a board from one of my projects, where I decided to double down on the sketchiness by simply brushing away the charred remains of the diode and using a jumper. Luckily, this board will never be used in a USB port again so it’s unlike to kill a USB port anytime soon but I’ve made a habit of reminding myself not to do this! #showandtell #sparky
