From the Forums: Listen to the Ambient Sounds Generated by Adafugue | #MusicMonday

Big thanks to forums user gkuetemeyer for sending this in – this project looks (and sounds) fantastic!

Adafugue Ambient Music Generator. Summer evening noodling. Based on EM sample and hold techniques. Driven by Arduino Uno, Adafruit Trellis, multiple Adafruit I2C DAC breakout boards, and Mayhew analog multiplexer shield

With a little more in-depth description from the forums:

Working on an ambient music generator called “Adafugue.” Based on electronic music’s sample and hold techniques: input various types of waveforms (sawtooth, triangle, square, sine, noise); sample them at regular intervals; take those values and turn them into notes to be played. Currently using 4 X Adafruit Trellis and Arduino Uno to control note selection, voltage inputs and assignments to various musical parameters. Created some dual LFOs (low frequency oscillators) using Arduino Uno and Adafruit MCP4725 DACs for inputs.

Adafugue Ambient Music Generator. Glitch noodling inspired by 4-month-old Maeve’s appreciation of “I Am The Walrus.” Based on EM sample and hold techniques driving dynamic pitch, tempo, and instrument voice selection. Using Arduino Uno, Adafruit Trellis, multiple Adafruit I2C DAC breakout boards, and Mayhew Labs 48 input Analog Multiplexer Shield.
