How to Make a Body Form for Fitting a Costume

When you’re making a costume that needs precise measurements, making a body form can be an incredible. It’s handy for soft goods like sewn fabric and for helping shape armor pieces. The Tested team needed a body form when they made their Battlefront II messenger droid costume for New York Comic Con, but they used a technique I haven’t seen before to create it. It’s more sophisticated than using duct tape or plaster of paris bandages, using scanning and milled foam. Watch the above video to see how the body form is assembled.
