Terrible trademark decision in Italy – These 2 jerks “own” Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs
What is up with Italy consistently making terrible decisions when it comes to trademarks? These jerks apparently own “Steve Jobs” as a trademarked name in Italy – “the mark consists of the words “steve jobs”. on the left are the initials “s” and “j” which form an apple” They are making/wearing “Steve Jobs” jeans and plan to make “Steve Jobs” electronics –

Naples, entrepreneurs Barbato: “Our brand will be Steve Jobs, so we defeated Apple.”

“In fact, in August 2014, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, official organ of the European Union, issued its ruling with a bold line: “The opposition is rejected in its entirety.” Only today the brothers can tell their story, at the end of a process of protection of the brand all over the world. ” Apple – they say – has attacked us on a particular of the logo: the J that appears bitten, recalling the famous apple. But a letter is not a fruit and consequently that on the letter can not be a bite. This is why we were unassailable from every point of view.

They know nothing about technology, but they are smart and hope to get millions of euros from Apple.

“We are working on a line of very innovative electronic devices, they are projects we have been working on for years. We will still respect the name of Steve Jobs: we will not do anything low-level, you will never see the phones or TV shoddy with the brand Steve Jobs. We will have very high guidelines. Clothing and design are the industries in which we worked, but electronics have always been the goal of the Steve Jobs brand.”

On the USA trademark search looks like they registered “Steve Jobs” but then the trademark was abandoned in 2015.
