Mission to Mars Backpack

A post on social media talking about a wearables collaboration with astronaut Buzz Aldrin sent me to the site of Sprayground. Although this company is known for its durable yet playful backpacks, it also designs luggage and outerwear. Their newest line celebrates the Mission to Mars theme with bright colored, patch adorned pieces that remind me of my brother’s first astronaut styled snowsuit from the 70s. Sprayground’s backpack is the envy of any explorer with solar panel strips, two USB ports and an external battery. The company’s description says it all:

The bag also features a buckled waist strap so the bag doesn’t float away from you when you’re floating in space. The fully loaded Mission to Mars trooper ensures you never have to return back to earth.

Mars Gloves

Although this backpack is coming soon, another version (sans solar) is available now. Other gear includes touch-screen capable gloves, a color punched parka, a convertible hat and handy duffle bag. It looks like their gloves are sold out, but don’t fear,  if you are stuck with a cute pair of gloves at home that leaves you fumbling, just give them a hack. Follow our guide for Smartphone Mittens and add conductive yarn to the right places to get your gloves into this orbit. You can stay warm and be connected.
