Facebook to redesign Messenger with real time communication, customer care channels and more
Facebook started asking people to install Messenger app a few years back and the company kept on pushing it with features to a level that made the app clumsy and cluttered. In its goals for 2018, the company’s David Marcus, head of the messenger highlighted the changes that are coming to messenger this year. As for the things that might change or make an appearance in 2018, MARCUS said that group chats will be the priority and with abilities like group calling, send images in 4K resolution, share photos, etc. messenger will get the abilities to add people to groups without needing their phone number because groups are all about people but not having phone numbers. He also stressed that real-time communication will play a bigger role this year and you can easily stay connected with friends and family no matter where you are.
