The latest object of lust for hardcore fans of both Star Wars and Lego is the $799.99 Lego Millennium Falcon. The kit is 7,500 pieces, and is sold out just about everywhere.
But what if you can’t afford that massive beast, or just can’t find one? One fan’s homemade take on the design is making the rounds on Reddit again, and it’s both beautiful and very, very colorful. This is what it looks like when you try to stay as close to the design from the movies as possible while using whatever colors you happen to have around the house.
And it’s amazing.
Even without trying to coordinate the colors, the creator of the design said that it cost $500 to get the pieces he needed from various sellers. These images were originally published in 2015, but feel timely once more due to the frenzy around the official model … which now feels remarkably boring in comparison to this beautiful beast.
