Making a Steven Universe Rose Quartz Gem

Whether you’re dressing as Teen Titans’ Raven, a multitude of World of Warcraft characters, or Rose Quartz from Steven Universe, you’re going to need to craft at least one gem for your costume. Cosplayer Sarah Spaceman used Model Magic combined with resin colored with a permanent marker to make her Rose Quartz gem a couple of years ago. She recently found in progress photos and put together a video on Instagram.

She explained her steps:

.⭐️ Used latex mold builder to make the negative mold
.⭐️ Cast the gem in resin dyed with sharpie
.⭐️ Top coated the gem
.⭐️Added the rim
