New @American_Girl Features NASA and Robotics #STEM #STEAM @nasa

We are what we celebrate. We feature Women in Tech and share stories of amazing people as part of our mission at Adafruit. The latest American Girl catalog features Luciana Vega, an aspiring young female astronaut who loves all things space and technology. The catalog does a great job at promoting teamwork, problem solving skills, robotics, an even a mars habitat. A part from the super cool looking Space Suit, there’s also a ton of accessories like research lab equipment, telescopes, rover vehicle and, oh yea, a robotic arm. All that’s missing is a soldering iron

Previously, we were inspired by a story where a young girl was gifted an American Girl doll with a prosthetic leg. This inspired us to design and 3D print prosthetic limbs so more people can DIY their own. In case you missed it, watch our video and check the learning guide.
