Watch this Capacitor Vent Smoke…So Much Smoke!

Absolutely most-definitely don’t even think about trying this at home, but…definitely most-absolutely be sure to watch the video below to know what’s possible. I frankly had no idea a capacitor was capable of so much smoke. The 220µF capacitance rating can be seen on the lid of the component, but I don’t see a voltage rating so it’s unclear what they’re potentially pumping through the component – what appears to be a Nichicon electrolytic capacitor, possibly one of their large can type aluminum caps, maybe the LGL, LGM, or similar capacitor. Either way I’m all ԅ(☉Д☉)╮
