Representation Matters: Shuri from “Black Panther”

Black Panther has been getting a lot of buzz for various reasons, but one that is less spoken of is the importance of Shuri’s character. T’Challa’s little sister is the true hero and it’s all because of her involvement in STEM. Black women are very rarely represented in media in this way and this is one of the reasons why her character is so important.
