This Heroes of Might and Magic Fury Cosplay Is Majestic

Chimeral CosplayArt decided to make a costume from Heroes of Might and Magic VI for her entry for the French Cup Cosplay 2017 final. She became a harpy/fury. The costume has all sorts of textures — feathers, armor, and a couple of sculpted elements, some with LEDs. Whew. She documented the various stages of the project, and I don’t know which aspect I’m most impressed with. The details are so impressive. She outlined the helmet in 13 stages:

1) Paper pattern
2) Volume structure with metal wire and aluminum
3) Basic sculpture in expanded foam
4) Sculpture made with Plastiline
5) Silicone mold by stamping + plaster screed
6) Hollow print of the PU resin helmet
7) Gems made of epoxy resin, transparent thermoplastic, green pigments and LED circuit
8) Production of decorations and painting
9) paint + glossy protective varnish
10) Tie all the decorations on the helmet (after painting)
11) Real Feathers: Cut stems, airbrush shadows and feathers on the back of the helmet (about 150) in an expansive foam base
12) Manufacture of EVA foam feathers + metal wire + gray paint with airbrush (shadows)
13) Helmet fasteners
