Monster Hunter LED Zinogre Armor by Kamui Cosplay

We recently shared a look at Kamui Cosplay‘s dual blades for her Monster Hunter Zinogre cosplay, and now she’s started to share a look at making of the armor. She began by gathering reference from the game, a statue featuring the armor, and an art of book. The first part of the costume she tackled was the breast plate; she made a pattern using duct tape, drew on the design with a Sharpie, and cut each segment of the breast plate from EVA foam. As she worked on crafting the scales, she decided to add LED strips run by an Arduino to give the armor an extra glow. See how it comes together in the above video.
