Apple AR: Apple's First Augmented Reality Wearable May Include MicroLED Panels from Taiwan, Report Says

With numerous insider reports, patent awards, acquisitions, and hires over the past few years, augmented reality smartglasses from Apple appear to be an inevitability. The latest report, from Taiwan-based Digitimes Research analyst Luke Lin, reveals that Apple has tapped Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to supply microLED panels on silicon-based backplanes for its rumored AR wearable as well as future iterations of the Apple Watch.
