Adafruit Donation Helps the Penguicon 2018 Charity Auction, Benefiting the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program
This year, Adafruit sponsored Penguicon 2018 by donating hardware for a workshop. They went one step further and helped in raising $2,124.67 to benefit DAPCEP by donating a Circuit Playground Express Advance Pack to the Penguicon 2018 charity auction. DAPCEP, Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program, is a non-profit that connects metropolitan-Detroit area youth with STEM opportunities by partnering with universities in the area. Penguicon is an annual Linux/Sci-Fi convention that is home to a wide variety of topics from technology to cos-play. For several years, they’ve raised money for different non-profit groups in the area, choosing a different group each year. The Circuit Playground Express Advance Pack sold along side many other items this year from convention sponsors and members of the maker community.
