Apple Brings New Characters & Features to Animoji — Then Destroys Samsung's AR Emoji with Memoji
Alongside ARKit 2.0, Apple revealed new Animojis alongside new Memoji virtual doppelgangers that compete with functionality quite similar to that of Samsung's AR Emoji. The next version of Animoji will bring along four new characters in tiger, koala, ghost, and t-rex, bringing the entire roster to 13 total creatures. Also, Apple is adding tongue detection to the facial features that the TrueDepth camera on the iPhone X can track.
