Guide Update: CircuitPython Essentials – Audio Out

Use CircuitPython 3.0 and your Express board to play audio through a headphone jack!

CircuitPython 3.0 has an updated audio module that allows you to easily play generated tones and wave files through a headphone jack. We’ve written up a guide with two CircuitPython examples – one for tone generation and one for wave file play, pause, and resume. There’s a list of steps and wiring diagrams to help you wire up your M0 or M4 Express board to a button, a potentiometer and an audio jack. Once you’re set up, you’ll be able to play a tone at the push of a button, and play, pause and resume wave file playback. These simple examples can easily add audio to your projects. Have fun with it!
