Reprogrammable #IoT Backyard Weather Station with #Huzzah32 and #AdafruitIO
@cpwshf on twitter is building a weather station perched on top of a pole. It’s powered by an Adafruit Huzzah 32 and connects to Adafruit IO. But what if he wanted to change something in the firmware and make on-the-go tweaks to how it operates? He’d have to open it up and tear it apart.
But, the weather stations’ height poses an issue: it’s really, really tall and would require the use of a very long Micro-USB cable. [@cpwshf] solved this and figured out how to re-program his station over WiFi (the ESP32 allows over-the-air-programming). It’s also solar-powered and runs for multiple days, even without sunlight!
