Youtube Copyright Match Tool - Get It Now!!!
It takes a lot of effort to create videos taht you post on youtuber. If you are a youtuber and you create unique videos, then Youtube's new beta is something that you must check. Youtube Studio Beta is in testing right now and includes a tool called copyright match tool which was announced on july 11, 2018 in a YouTube Offical Blog post - https://youtube-creators.googleblog.com/2018/07/helping-creators-protect-their-content.html
According to youtube, Copyright match was created to find re-uploads on other channels. Obviously, reuploading video won't work on youtube and you will get an error but what if someone changes few things and uploads it again without other youtuber's or original creators permissions. The new tools are in response to complaints that the company should do more to ensure content is not being uploaded and used by other YouTubers without permission.
With 1.8 Billion users, YouTube has become a powerful marketing platform for small businesses. Small business owners are engaging with their customers by creating videos about the products and services they offer, tutorials and more. They also want to protect their content and brand on YouTube.
Fabio Magagna, Product manager for the copyright match tool, addresses this frustration in a recent post on the recent Youtube Creator Blog.
Older Variant of copyright included filing a claim by going to 'Submit a Copyright Takedown Notice' Page - https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2807622 The tool will detect full re-uploads as well as a shorter version of video reuploaded. It also shows how much percentage of the video has been re-uploaded so you can go further and submit a takedown notice or even demonetize the video as long as you are the original creator and have uploaded first.
How to get Youtube's Copyright Match Tool
The tool is yet in beta and only a few YouTuber's have access including me. It's nothing to do with subscribers or anything related to views. The tool can be added to your studio beta by simply mailing your details to a Google employee. Finding such employees is next to impossible but here's a video in which the creator has given an email in the description of the video.
