Haier signs MoU with UP Government for second Industrial Park

Haier has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to set up its second industrial park in India, in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. With this development, Haier has strengthened its commitment towards the Central Government’s “Make-in-India” initiative to boost local manufacturing.


The MoU has been signed in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, and other dignitaries from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, along with Song Yujun, VP, Global Appliances Haier Group and Managing Director, Haier Appliances India; Eric Braganza, President, Haier Appliances India; and Sun, Director, SCM Haier Appliances India. Additionally, Satish Mahana, Industrial Development Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Anup Chandra Pandey, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Alok Sinha, Additional Chief Secretary, IT and Electronics Department; and Rajesh Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, were also present during the MoU signing ceremony.


Under the agreement, Haier will invest Rs.3,069 crore for setting up its industrial park in the state over the next four years in two phases. With this development, the company is expected to create almost 4,000 new direct employment opportunities along with over 10,000 indirect jobs.
