Hi, friends,
In the middle of the summer we had a chance to participate in an expedition with the aim to locate a missing WWII P-38 aircraft from famous Lost Squadron. Full story was covered by lot of news and publications, so we will not duplicate it here…Here we would like to share our experience of using drones in Greenland.
We used 2 drones
- DJI M600 to carry our Ground Penetrating Radar (it was used to locate anomalies under ice, more detailed description of the system can be found here – https://www.ugcs.com/en/page/ugcs-for-ground-penetrating-radar-surveys)
- Phantom 4 for filming and scouting
In general they worked well, but there were some small issues…
