Pope Francis says he will have final say on appointment of bishops in China, expresses confidence in ‘great faith’ of Chinese Catholics
The Pope said that from now on, new bishops first will be proposed by members of local Catholic communities together with Chinese authorities. The names of candidates will then be sent to the Vatican.
