Throwback Thursday: ‘Science Madness’ has 107 20th Century Volumes on Organic, Inorganic & Theoretical Chemistry, the Elements, Fermentations, and More!

Originally scanned for the Digital Library of India, some of the texts and PDFs on Science Madness have been archived there since 2003 – these days the archive currently stands at “50426 pages of reading and reference material in 107 volumes” – Impressive!

Shorter articles from the old Sciencemadness library remain available. Thanks go to BromicAcid for providing hosting for these old books during our time of lean bandwidth. Thanks also go to S.C. Wack for providing many of the books found here.

Most of these books are provided as PDF with JBIG2 compression. You will need Acrobat Reader 5.0 or above (or its equivalent) to view these files. A small number of books provided below are in DjVu format. To read them, you will need the the djview viewer provided by DjVuLibre or related projects.

Now you can build your own library with public domain scanned books from HathiTrust using Hathi Download Helper
