Cisco SD-WAN and Umbrella: Secure Your Distributed Network in 3 Simple Steps
What’s simple, effective, and protects your distributed network in minutes? A new powerful integration between Cisco SD-WAN and Cisco Umbrella. With just a few clicks, it’s easier than ever to deploy Umbrella across your SD-WAN fabric to hundreds of devices. You’ll instantly gain web and DNS-layer protection against threats such as malware, ransomware, and C2 callbacks. For additional granularity and control, administrators can set policies and view reports on a per-VPN basis.
Together, Cisco SD-WAN and Umbrella enable you to secure your users wherever they access the internet, while providing a streamlined user experience and simplifying management. You can learn more about how Cisco is reinventing branch connectivity with SD-WAN Security here.
If complex networks, inconsistent user experience, and added risk have you feeling overwhelmed, it’s time to simplify with 3 easy steps:
Step 1 – Link accounts
In your Umbrella dashboard, copy your network API key and then input it into the Cisco SD-WAN vManage dashboard.
Step 2 – Apply Umbrella policies
In the vManage dashboard, assign Umbrella DNS redirect policies on a per-VPN basis or to all VPNs.
Step 3 – Create Umbrella security policies
If you’re new to Umbrella, we recommend you create policies for your organization. The Umbrella policy wizard in the Umbrella dashboard walks you through each step.
