David Bowie's Legacy Lives On in Forthcoming Augmented Reality App
Famed singer-songwriter David Bowie will return to the real world as part of an augmented reality app launching on Jan. 8, 2019, which would have been his 72nd birthday. The app, which will be available on iOS and Android, serves as an augmented reality recreation of the "David Bowie Is," a touring art exhibition celebrating Bowie's life and work. Users will have access to more than 500 high-resolution scans of costumes, sketches, works of art, and other memorabilia to view up close in the physical space.
