Install Papirus Icon Theme on Ubuntu (18.04/18.10) and Debian 8/9 (PPA)
Papirus is a free and open source SVG icon theme for Linux, based on Paper Icon Set with a lot of new icons and a few extras, like Hardcode-Tray support, KDE colorscheme support, Folder Color support, and others.
Papirus icon theme is available in four variants:
- Papirus
- Papirus Dark
- Papirus Light
- ePapirus (for elementary OS and Pantheon Desktop)

Install Papirus Icon-Theme 20181120 on Ubuntu (18.04/18.10), Linux Mint System and Debian :
To install Papirus Icon-Theme 20181120 on Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver, Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Cuttlefish, Linux Lite 4.2, Deepin 5.7, Linux Mint 19.1, Elementary OS 5 'Juno', Linux Lite 4.2 stable and other Ubuntu derivative systems from PPA Launchpad, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:papirus/papirus
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install papirus-icon-theme
After installation is completed, change your icon on gnome tweaks :
choose Apparance
Debian and derivatives
Debian users also can install Papirus from our PPA, but the commands will differ:
