Make Robot Friend: Mattel’s Jurassic World robot raptor Alpha Training Blue #Robots #JurrasicWorld @Mattel

Matter has released one of the most detailed robotic friend toys ever: Alpha Training Blue. It’s an interactive velociraptor you train with a remote-control clicker, similar to Pratt’s character in the Jurassic World movies.

Built into its programming is a training game that requires you to master combos of clicking and moving your hand to level up your bond with Blue. But you can also switch to other modes. Blue will sometimes randomly animate and growl to act alive. She can guard your space to alert you when someone is near with motion sensors in her snout. She reacts to sound and petting on her nose and chin. And you can take complete control to move her like a puppet.

Blue will set you back about $250 but it is the most complex robotic toy Mattel has ever released. The controller is similar to the Wii Nunchuk. Ages 8 and up although I can see a startup letting these loose around their office.
