UPS Truck #WearableWednesday

Adorable UPS costume complete with truck — ready to deliver your Adafruit goodies!

Materials:

  • – Cardboard boxes, glue, clamps, painters tape, brown paint from Home Depot
  • – Trinket M0, NeoPixel 12 (x2) and 16 (x2) rings, solid hookup wires, wire connectors, illuminated latching switches from Adafruit
  • – Decals printed on a regular inkjet printer on regular printer paper and glued on

Notes:
– I popped one of the illuminated latching switch LEDs because I assumed both switch LED’s had the same 3V forward voltage. The orange one was 2.2V.. Reminder: Always read ALL datasheets!

The code on the Trinket is very simple. Configure a 24 light strip for the blinkers (pin 0) and a 32 light strip for the headlights (pin 1). The headlights were set to be constant white and the blinkers switched between black and amber every 500ms.
