How Do We Keep Time? #SaturdayMorningCartoons
My favorite celebration is New Year’s Eve. It is utterly arbitrary, but arbitrary in a kind of way that we all agree on without getting into heresies. Let’s pick this day, hang out with folks we dig, and count backwards, and cheer. Love it.
Here’s a cartoon on the history of time keeping from SpotImageryLtd.
And if you’ve got a bit more time this weekend, here’s physicist Dr. Donna Carroll with a fantastic talk about the foundations of what is time, how is it divided, and how did our calendars come to be. Really great stuff from the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.
