Brows Held High is one of my favorite video essayists. In this take on Godfrey Reggio’s time-honored documentary, Kyle Kallgren offers an engaging critique of Koyaanisqatsi. The visuals in the documentary are astounding, especially with the absence of narration and dialogue. Coupled with Philip Glass’s haunting score, Koyaanisqatsi is a surreal cinematic experience.
