NEW PRODUCTS – Particle Mesh Kits
Woohoo, it’s time for a Particle Mesh party!
First up, the Argon Kit nRF52840 with BLE and WiFi!
Woohoo, it’s time for a Particle Mesh party! And the Particle Argon is bringing it with a mix of Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi, your two most favorite 2.4GHz wireless protocols. The Argon is a powerful Wi-Fi enabled development kit that can act as either a standalone Wi-Fi endpoint or Wi-Fi enabled gateway for Particle Mesh networks. It is based on the Nordic nRF52840, the BLE Cortex M4 with a ton of Flash, RAM and peripherals, including native USB support.
Like all Particle Mesh boards, it even has built-in battery charging circuitry so it’s easy to connect a Li-Poly battery (not included but we stock lots here at the ‘fruit) and deploy your local network in minutes. The Argon is great for connecting existing projects to the Particle Device Cloud or as a gateway to connect an entire group of local endpoints.
You might be looking at this dev board and thinking “Hey wow you know it kinda looks like a Feather!” Well you’ve won a fabulous prize because it is in fact Feather compatible! Yes, the brilliant engineers at Particle checked out our Feather spec, and made something that is pin compatible so you can use our massive collection of FeatherWings to add more capabilities. (Please note that there may not be Particle Mesh libraries for all the hardware we make, if you’re not sure, check with them to see if there’s a driver available for their IDE)
All Particle Hardware is designed from the ground up to work with the Device Cloud; a powerful set of tools and infrastructure to build, connect, and manage your IoT fleet. The Device Cloud for Particle Mesh is priced by network. All Particle customers get 10 free micro networks using a Wi-Fi or Ethernet gateway. A micro network is defined as a network with 10 total devices and a single gateway. Please refer to their cloud pricing documentation for more information.
This product also comes with a fully-assembled Particle Argon, it even has some starting-out-parts so you can hit the ground running with all the hardware accessories you need.

The Particle Boron LTE is bringing it with a double-dose of Bluetooth Low Energy and LTE Cellular – so you’re covered for network connectivity, no matter where you are. The Boron LTE is a powerful LTE CAT-M1/NB1 enabled development kit that can act as either a standalone cellular endpoint or LTE enabled gateway for Particle Mesh networks . It is based on the Nordic nRF52840, the BLE Cortex M4 with a ton of Flash, RAM and peripherals, including native USB support.

Movin’ along to the Particle Ethernet FeatherWing!
This three-in-one Particle Ethernet Feather is a mix of our Ethernet ‘wing and the Tripler ‘wing. The form-factor is based around the Adafruit FeatherWing Tripler. The two side connectors allow you to plug in one Particle Mesh device along with a Feather accessory.
The Ethernet FeatherWing is deisgned to be the fastest way to add wired connectivity to your Argon, Boron, or Xenon and turns any Particle Mesh dev kit into an Ethernet gateway. Based on the WIZnet W5500 chip, this side-by-side FeatherWing maintains great RF performance even while adding Ethernet connectivity to any Particle Mesh device.
The Ethernet driver for this wing is baked into the Mesh Device OS. When you set up a new Particle Mesh device that is plugged into an Ethernet FeatherWing, simply select the USE WITH ETHERNET? option on your Particle mobile app and it should recognize and talk over Ethernet automagically. It’s that simple.
Comes assembled so you can stick your Feather in the center, have Ethernet on one side, and then a prototyping area (or maybe another FeatherWing?) on the other side. Pair it with one of our PoE-with-MicroUSB adapters for a PoE solution!
Please Note: these were made by Particle for their Mesh Feather-compatible boards, but these should work just fine with any other Feather that abides by our specification. There are some slight differences between this Wing and the Adafruit Ethernet Wing, the Reset and Interrupt pins are pre-wired
Don’t forget about the Particle Debugger!
If you’ve got a modern ARM chip devboard you’ll notice that it has one of those tiny 2×5 connectors on it. Those are SWD ports, and they’re used when you need to program or debug an ARM chip like those on the Particle boards.
So, say you want to get into the weeds on these chips, trace stracks, watch memory, or re-program the chip directly? You’ll need one of these. The Particle Debugger gives you the power of professional debugging at a fraction of the cost. Using this accessory, you’ll be able to program Particle mesh-ready hardware over common interfaces like JTAG and SWD, using open source tools like GDB.
Not only do you get the classic 2×5 cable but also socket headers for power, data, and even a bonus UART connection, very handy!
Supports the open source CMSIS-DAP specification and DAPLink firmware developed by ARM.
Comes with one 2×5 0.05″ pitch SWD/JTAG ribbon cable.
Wrapping it all up with the Particle Mesh WiFi Bundle – Full Starter Kit!
